Today at book club the children got to meet the author of the book Adventures on Amelia Island. She told them some of the historical significance in the book - it makes us want to go visit Amelia Island.
Then they had chocolate cake - in the shape of pirate hats. Joseph was so excited to get a hat, eye patch and pirate necklace to take home.
