My oldest nephew, Christian came to visit with my Dad for a couple days. It was so much fun! One might have thought a rock star was coming to visit.
We played games, watched movies and had a blast!
Christian was such a good sport in playing Quelf - he would do anything! One of the silly things he had to do the most was whenever someone drew a card he had to throw his arms in the air and yell "Abracadabra!" It was awesome.
One of the coolest parts was seeing just how grown up my nephew is. Before I left on my mission I would hang out with my sister and Christian ALL the time. He was just a baby and we had so much fun. Now to see him so mature, thoughtful, respectful and kind - it really touches my heart. Christian took the time to teach my children life lessons that they ignore when they hear from me. How awesome to hear a teenage boy telling kids that the game is not a big enough deal to get upset about - it is just a game and you can plan again.
Or telling them if they cannot take turns with his ipad that they would not be able to use it because he did not want to be a bad influence. Truly impressive, Christian!
We love you - thank you for coming to visit!
