Braces

So today Joseph came in from playing outside to tell me that it is just too hot outside - it is causing the metal in his braces to get hot and hurt his mouth. Seriously, is he not aware that the temperature has dropped significantly and that he survived all summer in Florida without third degree burns in his mouth?  I do not think he will ever live this one down.
